I am mainly involved in the overall construction drafting and the later phrase of design stage amendment of this project. The drafting of the construction drawing are based on the previous design 3D file.

For example, I will have to think of a way to design the detail of the facade cladding and the standalone TV mounting wall. The work will then be reviewed  the work with my supervisor and my team member.

I have been following this project since design stage till construction stage (as of July 2023). This allows me to have a broaderperspective of how a residential landed house project is been carried out by an Architect.

 

From the retriever of base information like the certified plans to ITQ to the topographical surveyor. This follows by design development discussion with our team and the Client. The approved design by the Client are then submitted to the relevant statutory agencies to obtain Clearance.

As SIA Minor Contract do not mandate for a Project QS, we are involved in the QS role till Tender Award and subsequently reviewing on Contractor Statement of Work Done and issuance of Interim Certificate

Due to Contractor financial issue, they are unable to perform which results in they calling for payment dispute. We have subsequently issued a termination certificate and this were followed up by adjudication case between the Owner and Contractor.

This project only made it through the proposal stage with all the presentation material prepared by me. i am partly involved in the design of this proposal as it was proposed by my supervisor and discussion are then made between us.

The software used for the presentation material are Sketchup, AutoCAD, PhotoShop and InDesign. The perspective are done using Sketchup, floor plan are the combination of AutoCAD, PhotoShop and InDesign.

The submission and tender drawing are a team effort done by my senior colleague, temp staff and me. Therefore, we need to co-ordinate with each other to ensure that the tender drawing are all delivered on time.

The presentation material are mainly done by the temp staff and me using Sketchup, AutoCAD, Photoshop. InDesign are then used to complied all the slides for presentation.
